ANNOUNCEMENT 
National Telecommunications Commission directive to migrate subscribers within the Area Code "02" from 7-digit to 8-digit landline numbers.

In compliance with the directive of National Telecommunications Commision (NTC), all landline telephone numbers within area code "02" will migrate from a seven-digit telephone-number format to eight-digit telephone-number format.

The affected area code "02" covers the following areas:
1. Metro Manila
2. Rizal Province
3. San Pedro, Laguna
4. Bacoor, Cavite

All Pulic Telecommunication Entities (PTE) in the country are directed to migrate its customers within the Area code "02" as stated in issued NTC Memorandum Order No. 10-10-2017. The target implementation date for this will be on October 2019. For the purpose of this order, the commission has assigned specific Public Telecommunications Entitiy (PTE) identifiers to each of the PTEs operating and providing local telephone service within the Area Code "02".

The following are the number digit identifiers assigned to each PTE. Each number digit identifier, which range from 3-8, will be placed and added at the beginning of a subscribers existing 7-digit telephone number. The subscribers existing 7-digital number will not change.
